This is not my original work - this is a poster of Neuschwanstein Castle - this is the view I wanted but the #$%^ trail was closed!
Visiting Fussen and Neuschwanstein Castle was going to be one of the highlights of my trip to Bavaria, Germany in October 2009. I hit Fussen on an absolutely gorgeous day - crystal clear and sunny. I was looking for some great shots of Neuschwanstein after about a week of rain. From the bus stop you have to hike up a steep hill for a little bit - and unfortunately I started uphill at the same time three busloads of Japanese tourists started the climb - so no chance for solitude at all. The thought of shooting in perfect conditions kept pushing me on - right up to the time that I got to the gate to the Marienbrucke trail and found it locked and barred. I was so depressed - thought about skirting the gate and cutting through the woods but there was a nasty looking guard there. How depressing! I didn't get the shots I wanted, didn't want to hang around with hundreds of yapping tourists, so I ended back to Fussen, walked around, and took the bus back to Mittenwald determined to come back to Fussen when the gate is open. Fussen is a charming little town too - I should have spent more time there.

AND12U15Y10G12S11B12 [email protected] FH6 Fp7Gp10Pp9Ep*** BS8BP*** The Tower of Terror at Tokyo DisneySea has no connection or tie-ins with The Twilight Zone, and is instead themed as the Hotel Hightower, an 1890s' New York City hotel owned by eccentric billionaire Harrison Hightower the Third (who resembles actor Keenan Wynn from Herbie Rides Again) who disappeared on December 31, 1899 while taking the elevator up to his private quarters shortly after taking a mysterious idol of a trickster spirit called Shiriki Utundu from an ancient civilization in Africa. The facade's architectural style is more gothic, and the Tower is located in the American Waterfront area of the park, opposite the S.S. Columbia cruise liner. The ride system for this version is similar to that of Disney's California Adventure's version and that of Walt Disney Studios Paris' version. However, this version is cited as the most elaborate themed of the four, as well as the most expensive version, at an estimated $190 million. Here you can learn more Tower of Terror
